At the end of 2016, some circonstances made that after a gap of 15 years I resumed scratching directly on film. I first made a series of thirty one short loops that were posted as GIF’s on Facebook, in May and June 2016. Then I proceeded to build a film out of those segments with the support of the infinite music of Malcolm Goldstein. The result is a meditation on time, both radically abstract and intensely material.

Joanna and Jan's marriage seems happy. After the birthday party is over, Joanna unwraps the gifts she received. One of them is a videotape with a recording of a regional TV program, during which a historian named Marczak tells about Jan's cooperation with the political police, which began back in the 1950s, by reporting on Joanna's father. At first, Joanna believes in her husband's innocence, but soon becomes suspicious and begins a private investigation.

SCRATCH is a musical drama that follows Angelot, a young Haitian immigrant who, along with his parents and brother Frantz, arrives in Montreal during the ’90s. Frantz quickly got involved in gang-related crime while the father, Saurel, diligently drove a taxi and lived a life of dignity. Years later, Angelot is now the proud leader of the hip hop act Lights and Shadows. He’s taken over his brother’s enterprise while Frantz is in jail, using the illicit gains to finance the recording of their first studio album. One night, following a concert and what initially looks like a random barroom altercation, Angelot falls into a deep coma, during which occurs a flashback through time, detailing the roots of his derailment.

Lena is a young art student new to London. Calling it her art project, she obsessively follows and takes pictures of an unwitting Sol. He is a scruffy, charismatic 20 year old, by all appearances homeless, who drifts around in numerous detached relations to people affiliated with the art scene. Her project takes a wrong turn when Sol discovers her. Fascinated by her odd behaviour, Sol is now the one to follow her.
